We can sometimes be afraid to do something because we are concerned about what people will think. The time has come to put an end to such a restrictive philosophy.

Spend a few minutes thinking about what it means to allow another person’s opinion to shape our lives. Why should their opinion stop me from singing as I walk in the park, for instance? It might even bring a little cheer to some otherwise weary onlookers.

Take back the freedom that you know is yours, but use it wisely. I am not suggesting that you be lurid or restrict the freedom of others. Not at all. Rather, use your freedom to express yourself as you truly are. Too many of us “blend” in with the crowd, with our true selves hidden deep within just itching to get out and be “me”.

Go out and dance in the street, if that is what it takes, and enjoy your newfound freedom.
